Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 28, 2026Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by DeepChain PLLC, a Minnesota Professional Limited Liability Company ("the Firm"), through the website located at selectcounsel.com (the "Website"). This policy does not apply to information collected through other means, including information obtained in the course of an attorney-client relationship, which is governed by the applicable rules of professional conduct and the terms of the relevant engagement agreement.
Information Collected
The Firm may collect the following categories of information through the Website:
- Contact and Organizational Information. Name, professional title, email address, telephone number, organization name, entity type, and jurisdiction, as voluntarily submitted through the engagement inquiry form.
- Matter Information. General descriptions of legal matters, engagement scope, timeline preferences, and organizational website addresses submitted through the inquiry form.
- Technical Information. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages accessed, date and time of access, and similar data collected automatically through standard web server logging.
Use of Information
Information collected through the Website is used for the following purposes:
- Responding to engagement inquiries and conducting conflicts checks in accordance with the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct
- Communicating with prospective clients regarding potential engagements
- Maintaining and improving the functionality, security, and performance of the Website
- Complying with applicable legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
- Protecting the rights, property, and safety of the Firm, its clients, and the public
Disclosure of Information
The Firm does not sell, rent, license, or trade personal information to third parties. Information may be disclosed in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers. To trusted third-party vendors who provide services necessary to operate the Website (e.g., web hosting, form processing), subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Process. When required or permitted by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental investigation or proceeding.
- Professional Obligations. As required by the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct or orders of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility.
Data Security
The Firm implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information transmitted through the Website. All form submissions are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, and the Firm cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted through the Internet.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site or interest-based tracking. Because no information is stored on or retrieved from your device for those purposes, consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended) is not engaged.
Local storage. If you acknowledge the privacy notice displayed on
your first visit, a single flag named dc-privacy-ack is written to your
browser's local storage so the notice is not shown again. This flag records only that
the notice was acknowledged and the version acknowledged. It contains no identifier and
no personal data, is never transmitted to the Firm or any third party, and constitutes
storage strictly necessary for a service you have explicitly requested. You may clear it
at any time through your browser settings.
Third-party requests. Typefaces are served from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Loading them transmits your IP address to Google as a necessary part of that request. If you submit the engagement inquiry form, the submission is transmitted to Web3Forms, which processes it on the Firm's behalf under contract; no submission occurs unless you initiate it.
Changes to This Policy
The Firm reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
